Elías Mora, Gran Elías Mora 2012 ToroSingle-vineyard wine.

Tinta de Toro from a spot called Senda del Lobo. Bush vines dating back to 1952 planted on sandy soils with pebbles. It yields 2,500 kg/ha. Alcoholic fermentation in stainless-steel tanks. Non-inoculated bacteria are used in malolactic fermentation. Fining with albumin (egg white). Aged in French oak barrels for 17 months. Tasted blind.

The wine has a really pungent expression showing plums, figs, baked black fruit and toasty oak charge; it is quite massive on the nose. The palate has maximum concentration, based on sweet fruit and sticky texture. Really charged with tannins and sweet fruit. Immensely powerful wine. (FC)15% Drink 2015-2019
