Victoria Benavides, owner and winemaker of Bodegas Elías Mora, nods to her beginnings as a wine producer recovering a DO Rueda, which always brings her good memories. And in the middle of the post-Covid era, when it seems that things have gone uphill, Elías Mora has decided to step forward and to open new markets with a fresh and mineral wine. It is perfect for these spring and summer days and to enjoy it outdoors, always keeping safety distances.

Elías Mora Contracorriente is a 100% Verdejo from Pozaldez vineyards at 750m altitude. Dark grey-brown, stony soils, rich in calcium and magnesium, make them perfect for verdejo.

Intense greenish-golden color and 13% of ABV, notes of candied citrus peel with anise-like background so typical for the variety over hints of ripe pineapple. The palate is fresh and rich at the same time with a long aftertaste of fennel and fruit flavors.

The recommended consumption temperature is between 10 and 12˚C.
